Seller Terms
These Seller Terms apply in addition to the Terms of Service whenever you list or sell anything on Undercurrent — merchandise, gear, records, services, or paid gig tickets. By listing, you agree to these Seller Terms.
1. Who can sell
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter contracts in your country of residence. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding (including identity verification and tax information) before payouts can be released.
2. Your listings
Listings must be accurate, in English, and clearly describe what the buyer will receive. You must use images you own or are licensed to use. Prices are in one of our supported currencies (GBP, USD, CAD, AUD, EUR) and must include any taxes you are required to collect.
3. Prohibited items
You may not list or sell:
- Counterfeit, bootleg, or unauthorised merchandise.
- Recordings you do not own or are not licensed to distribute.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or items designed to harm.
- Controlled drugs, tobacco, vapes, or alcohol for delivery to jurisdictions where this is unlawful.
- Live animals.
- Stolen goods.
- Anything that breaches UK, EU, or US sanctions.
- Anything illegal in the buyer's or seller's jurisdiction.
We may remove listings that we reasonably believe fall into these categories.
4. Fees
Undercurrent charges a 5% platform fee on the gross value of successful transactions (pre-tax, pre-shipping where applicable). Stripe charges separate payment-processing fees per Stripe's published schedule. Both are deducted before payout.
5. Payouts
Payouts are made by Stripe directly to your connected Stripe account on Stripe's payout schedule. Undercurrent does not hold your funds.
6. Buyer obligations and consumer rights
Where you are selling to UK or EU consumers, consumer-protection law (including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive) may give the buyer statutory rights — including a 14-day right to cancel, and remedies for goods that are faulty or not as described. You, as the seller, are responsible for honouring those rights. Undercurrent is not a party to the sale.
7. Disputes and refunds
Sellers are the primary point of contact for disputes. You must respond to buyer messages in good faith within a reasonable time (we target 5 working days). If a dispute is escalated to Stripe (chargeback) or to Undercurrent (for Platform-level abuse), we may hold or reverse the associated payout pending resolution.
8. Taxes
You are responsible for determining and collecting any VAT, sales tax, or other taxes applicable to your sales, and for reporting and remitting them to the relevant tax authority. Undercurrent does not provide tax advice.
9. Intellectual property warranty
By listing, you warrant that you own or are licensed to sell every item in the listing, including rights to any images, text, and recordings used in the listing.
10. Termination
You may close your seller account at any time. We may suspend your seller status if you breach these Seller Terms, the Terms of Service, or the AUP, or where Stripe requires us to do so.
